Perhaps what makes honoring God difficult sometimes is because we also don’t know who we are dealing with. He disqualified King Saul from his position as king on the account of failing to follow instruction. He just didn’t listen, he negotiated and diluted Gods message. God expects us to follow instruction and if we don’t, we should understand that there will be consequences that follow. That though he is merciful, he also expects us to be good followers of his instructions. He wants us to also understand that obedience is better than sacrifice. 1 Samuel 15 v 2-3

Deuteronomy 8v18 God gives us power to get wealth. He doesn’t give us the wealth. It is just an empowerment. He empowers the idea to give it success.
